Job Opening – Lab Analyst

The Downers Grove Sanitary District is seeking applicants for the position of full-time Lab Analyst through Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022. The Lab Analyst’s responsibilities include  sample collection and laboratory analysis for biosolids, stream, surcharge, industrial, and plant monitoring.

The current salary range for the position is $25.66 to $38.50 per hour based on experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or equivalent science-based degree combined with relevant experience is required. Prior wet chemistry testing in an environmental laboratory is preferred.

Please note that the Lab Analyst must reside within a 60-minute travel time from the District’s Wastewater Treatment Center at 5003 Walnut Ave., Downers Grove, Illinois, and must possess an Illinois Driver’s License in good standing. A successful candidate must comply with these requirements within six months of employment.
