Downers Grove Sanitary District is seeking applicants for the full-time position of Electrical Technician. The Electrical Technician performs preventive maintenance and repair work on electrical equipment located at the Wastewater Treatment Center, Administration Center and at remote pumping stations, as well as mobile equipment such as vehicles, sewer system equipment, and portable generators. The Electrical Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

The salary range for the Electrical Technician position is to $33.25 to $49.87 per hour. This position requires a minimum State of IL Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with full air brakes (no restriction) and a Tank (N) endorsement, in addition must reside within a 30-minute travel time to the District’s wastewater treatment center, 5003 Walnut Ave, Downers Grove. A successful candidate must comply with these requirements within six months of employment.

The salary range for the operator position is to $28.91 to $43.37 per hour. This position requires a minimum State of IL Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with full air brakes (no restriction) and a Tank (N) endorsement, in addition must reside within a 30-minute travel time to the District’s wastewater treatment center, 5003 Walnut Ave, Downers Grove. A successful candidate must comply with these requirements within six months of employment.
