Downers Grove Sanitary District is hiring for the position of full-time Electrical Technician. Below is an Application for Employment and Job Description for the Operator and a Summary of Benefits for the District. The current salary range for the position is $33.25 to $49.87 per hour.

The Electrical Technician performs preventive maintenance and repair work on electrical equipment located at the Wastewater Treatment Center, Administration Center and at remote pumping stations, as well as mobile equipment such as vehicles, sewer system equipment, and portable generators. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

District employees in this position must reside within a 30-minute travel time from the District’s Wastewater Treatment Center located at 5003 Walnut Avenue, Downers Grove. This position requires a minimum State of IL Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with full air brakes (no restriction) and a Tank (N) endorsement.  A successful candidate must comply with this requirement within six months of employment.

Downers Grove Sanitary District is hiring for the position of full-time Maintenance Mechanic. Below is an Application for Employment and Job Description for the Maintenance Mechanic and a Summary of Benefits for the District. The current salary range for the position is $28.21 to $42.31 per hour.

The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electromechanical machinery and equipment, vehicles, buildings and structures and reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

District employees in this position must reside within a 30-minute travel time from the District’s Wastewater Treatment Center located at 5003 Walnut Avenue, Downers Grove. This position requires a minimum State of IL Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with full air brakes (no restriction) and a Tank (N) endorsement. A successful candidate must comply with these requirements within six months of employment.
