The Downers Grove Sanitary District is seeking applicants for the position of Seasonal Sewer System Clerical Worker now through Friday, May 3. In observance of Good Friday, the District’s administration center, located at 2710 Curtiss Street in Downers Grove, will be closed Friday, March 29. The District’s office will be reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 1. U.S. Congressman Sean Casten recently visited the District to view the progress of the Curtiss Street sanitary sewer lining project. Two parallel 42-inch reinforced concrete pipes, one dating to 1954 and the other to 1987, run east and west along St. Joseph Creek starting west of Chase Ave. and ending in the District’s Wastewater Treatment Center for a total of approximately 4,500 lineal feet.
